| I've been noticing the caiUxOs Real Memory for Solaris and Linux systems have been consistently reporting usage between 77-98% utilization on many different servers running 3.1 agents. I used top and noticed the section Mem: av, used and free seems to match what the agent is reporting. However our clients don't like to receive monthly SLM reports that show Real Memory at 95% and they look at top and see only 10% of %MEM is showing in use. I seem to recall with the 2.4 agents you can set an environment variable (REALFREE=1) to relieve the problem but don't know if it will take care of the issue on a 3.1 agent. I also noticed there is an updated patch (QO61290) for Linux, but would like to know if this will take care of the issue. If not how did you get around this issue? |
