Hello,
What happens during the agents installation to the services file in c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc directory.
why does the services.uni file appear after the installation ?

serives.uni file is simply a copy of file services at the time Unicenter is installed. This way you can always restore file to situation be fore Unicenter was installed.
Depending on components installed several lines will be addes to services file. Common services include cci and cam protocols.
serices file will be updated with ports used by these processes
