Hello Members, Anyone using eTrust Policy Compliance or eTrust Audit on a production environment? I have a couple of questions for you, if you are using any of these products and of course on a Windows 2KSVR(Active Directory)environment. Thanks, HG |

Actually, I was trying to get a feel for the usage of this and other CA applications between all the users in this group. I don't know if this issue (CA Security) defers from the TNG main focus. However, I thought about it and what better place to look for answers than a CA local users group? This would be my first question... Is there anyone in this group currently using eTrust Policy Compliance and/or eTrust Audit on a Windows 2000 Server with Active Directory environment? |

Yes, just make sure you have dedicated powerful server for eTrust Policy Compliance and eTrust Audit server components. They seems to take up lots of CPU. Don't run on Windows 2003 Server, we run into incompatibility issues with CA's dlls. Even CA told us that we can run on Windows 2003 server but we run into all kinds of problems running on Windows 2003 server environement. Even with Unicenter ServiceDesk - we run into problem and required to apply patches to resolve incompatibility issue with Windows 2003 server. CA gave us severl test patches to work with but still it a lots work to work around some of the issues. |
